Did You Know? Aging

There are two types of aging: Intrinsic and Extrinsic.

Intrinsic aging is also referred to as chronological aging. This natural aging process is responsible for about 20% of aging and is very difficult to control because it is determined by genes. It is the reason some people begin to see gray hairs in their early twenties while others may not see them until their forties.

Extrinsic aging is caused by environmental factors and lifestyle choices, such as sun exposure, smoking, and pollution. Unlike intrinsic aging, extrinsic factors can be managed through proper skincare, sun protection, and a healthy lifestyle.

Understanding the difference is the first step in creating an effective preventative and corrective skincare routine at Lime Beauty.
