The earliest records of aloe vera being used by humans appear in Egyptian medical papyrus from the 16th Century BC. In ancient Egypt, aloe vera was referred to as “that plant of immortality.”

Cleopatra and Nefertiti, two queens of Egypt, used aloe to keep their skin soft. Aloe was also used by Christopher Columbus and Alexander the Great to treat wounds of soldiers during their expeditions.

Today, Aloe Vera remains a staple in skin care for its calming, hydrating, and soothing properties. Whether used for mild sunburn or as part of a daily facial regimen, its benefits have stood the test of thousands of years.
