Things to know about your booking
We hope your relationship with our clinic is a positive experience. Getting the best results possible is most certainly a two-way street that involves collaboration between clients and our clinic. If it’s your first time visiting us keep these tips in mind to get the most out of your appointment.
COVID
Please be aware our clinic is taking the following precautions into consideration for Covid19. You will be required to answer a Covid19 Questionnaire prior to your appointment and follow the guidelines recommended by Alberta Health Services.
ARRIVAL
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time to check-in, fill out necessary paperwork and change if necessary. It’s better to arrive a little early then get here late and miss part of your treatment.
TARDINESS
Our treatments are time-sensitive services. In booking your appointment, we are reserving a designated amount of time specifically for you. If you are late, it will compromise the amount of time the therapist has to spend on your procedure, which in turn compromises your results. If a client is more than 15 minutes late, the procedure may be cancelled, forfeiting any deposit.
BE CLEAN BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
If possible, please clean your face before coming in. The therapist will carefully clean your face; however, we ask that if you wear makeup, it isn’t layered heavy. Some services require that eye make-up, especially waterproof eye make-up is not worn 48 hours before services.
SPA ATTIRE
Please wear loose clothing, minimal jewellery, and indoor shoes. All staff are professionally trained and licensed to ensure the highest quality of service and integrity. We follow proper draping techniques are always used to ensure your privacy and comfort.
QUIET ENVIRONMENT
To ensure a quiet and relaxing environment, please turn off all cell phones or put them on silent. Always try to use a quiet “indoor voice” when you talk anywhere in the clinic.
COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT SOLO
During your first appointment the therapist wants to be fully focused on you. They may also bring up topics you may not want to discuss in front of others. Don’t worry, if you need moral support before getting a treatment for the first time your therapist is the most knowledgeable about what to expect and can coach you through the procedure.
CLIENT-ONLY IN PROCEDURE ROOM
Friends & family are not allowed to sit-in on your procedures.
CHILDREN, TODDLERS, AND BABIES
Though we love children, toddlers, and babies, we must kindly ask that they do not attend your appointment. Most of our treatments require the complete attention of the therapist, other treatments require the use of lasers. Clients who show up with children may have to reschedule, thus forfeiting their deposit. HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS
Please inform our Patient Care Coordinator if you have any medical conditions, including pregnancy, sunburn, or special needs prior to your treatment.
BE HONEST ABOUT YOUR MEDICAL HISTORY
Don’t hide any conditions that may interfere with getting the cosmetic results you want. This is key if you are recently pregnant, have had eczema or are on blood-thinners, to name a few. Your health history is relevant in our clinic, which is a professional medical environment. We must know about certain conditions and considerations, so be transparent. If you’ve had other treatments already, please disclose them. Some treatments can increase the risk for irritation if treated too close together.
FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK COMPLETELY AND HONESTLY
Our therapist need to know certain things about your past and current medical conditions to prevent adverse reactions that could easily be avoided. They also need to know every medication you’re taking topically and orally. These questions are being asked for your own protection.
BE HONEST WITH YOUR ESTHETICIAN
The same rule applies for questions from your therapist. Try to answer as completely and honestly as possible. If you aren’t sure about something let them know and ask your own questions, if you’re unclear.
SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS
If you are in for a follow up or touch-up, please let the therapist know what worked and what doesn’t seem to be working. You should also be vocal during your treatment. If you are feeling discomfort at any level during the procedure, please let the therapist know. Your comfort level is important to the us.
LET YOUR THERAPISTS KNOW IF YOU HAVE AN EVENT COMING UP
Your therapist needs to know what you have coming up on your calendar. Each treatment has a unique set of possible side effects and downtime. Therapist make treatment recommendations based on the recovery period and how long it takes to reach optimal results. When your therapist knows what’s coming up on your social schedule, they can make sure you look great when it matters the most.
